On Wednesday, November 4, 2026, FAJ hosted two professors from Spain who specialize in teaching Spanish as a foreign language: Ivano Salmoiraghi, director of the DICE Language Institute in Salamanca, and Rebeca Pereira Urbón, a professor at that institute.

Six European Universities, 50+ Students and an Exciting New Approach to Market Research

 

What happens when more than 50 students and 12 professors from six European universities join forces to transform the way market research is taught? SHERLOCK comes to life. From 19 to 23 October 2026, Université Savoie Mont Blanc in Annecy, France, hosted the first Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (LTTA) of the Erasmus+ SHERLOCK project, marking an exciting milestone in the development of an innovative educational simulation game. The five-day international programme brought together students and academics from six partner universities to test the first pilot version of the SHERLOCK simulation game, designed to make market research methodology more interactive, engaging and practically relevant.

During Italian Language Week Around the World, we had the honor of welcoming Italian Ambassador Gianclemente de Felice to EUBA, who was accompanied by Mariangela Bonasia, a professor of political economy at the University of Naples.

Students from EUBA and UK attended a lecture on insurance and pension systems in Italy and Slovakia. We would like to thank Italian language instructor Carmen Mammola for organizing the event.

From August 30 to September 6, 2026, the 13th annual international summer academy and conference titled TRANS 2026, focused on linguistics and translation studies, took place. This year’s event had a single overarching theme: artificial intelligence and its applications in linguistics, translation, and practice.
