You can apply for an accredited third-level study program only after completing a second-level study program in the same or a related field of philology (a list of related fields of study is available at https://www.portalvs.sk/sk/hladat?sort=&orderby=3&gridlayout=&sgroup=5&field=7320&level=T&form=1&lang=&university=&faculty=&search=&submit=
In the case of completed university education in another field, the applicant is required to submit a document confirming that the applicant's orientation corresponds to the profile of the relevant study program to which the applicant is applying.
Applicants who submit an electronic application must also deliver all required attachments to the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Applied Languages (see Additional conditions for admission to PhD. study programs at the Faculty of Applied Languages of the EU in Bratislava for the 2025/2026 academic year, article 2, point 5).
Only applicants who submit a duly completed application form by the specified deadline, attach all required attachments in electronic and printed form, and pay the admission fee will be invited to the entrance examination.
The fees associated with the study program are specified in internal regulation number B/3/2024 - Školné a poplatky spojené so štúdiom na Ekonomickej univerzite v Bratislave pre akademický rok 2025/2026 effective from 1 September 2025.

- In the full-time form of PhD. study, the number of students admitted will be known at the time of the entrance examinations based on the number of scholarship places and allocated funds.
- In the external form of PhD. study, the exact number of students admitted will be known at the time of the entrance examinations based on the available capacity of the supervisor.
Only one applicant may be accepted for each doctoral study programme.
Zápis na štúdium
Applicants who are accepted into a PhD. study programme are required to attend enrolment in person in accordance with the instructions they receive in writing together with the decision on their acceptance.
PhD. studies take place on working days, mainly in the morning.
