From 24/02-28/02/2025 I had the opportunity to take part in an Erasmus+ teacher mobility at the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Las Palmas in Gran Canaria. This experience was a unique opportunity not only for academic exchange of knowledge, but also to broaden professional contacts and to get acquainted with innovative teaching methods in the field of tourism.
During my stay, I had the opportunity to lecture to the students of the faculty on the topic of Process Optimization in Tourism, focusing on current trends and challenges in the field of tourism in an international context. The discussions with the students were very stimulating and allowed me to gain new perspectives on the issue, which I can apply in my teaching practice.
In addition to the lectures, I participated in several professional meetings with faculty members where we discussed possibilities for future collaboration in research and exchange programs. Another interesting point of the programme was an excursion to selected tourist destinations in the region, which were examples of good practice in the field of sustainable tourism.
This mobility provided me with an invaluable experience that enriched my teaching and professional competences. I believe that the contacts made and the knowledge gained will contribute to the development of international cooperation between our institutions and to the improvement of teaching in the field of tourism and language education.
I am grateful to the Erasmus+ programme and the Faculty of Applied Languages (FAJ) of EUBA for this opportunity and I recommend it to anyone interested in professional development and international academic cooperation.
