Le 12 mars 2025, la Faculté des Langues appliquées de l’Université d’Économie de Bratislava a accueilli un panel de conférences sous forme d’une « table ronde », axée sur des questions linguistiques et culturelles actuelles liées à la langue française. Cette rencontre a été organisée en coopération par M. Martin Růžička de la Faculté des Langues appliquées de l’Université d’Économie et Mme Zuzana Puchovská de la Faculté des Lettres de l’Université Comenius. Les étudiants de français de ces deux universités ont ainsi participé à l’événement.
On 12 March 2025, the Faculty of Applied Languages of the University of Economics in Bratislava hosted a panel of expert lectures around a ‘round table’ focused on current linguistic and cultural issues related to the French language. The meeting was organized in cooperation with Dr. Martin Růžička from the Faculty of Applied Languages of EUBA and Dr. Zuzana Puchovská from the Faculty of Arts of Charles University. Thanks to this cooperation, students of French language from both universities took part in the meeting.
L’invitation a été acceptée par des conférenciers de plusieurs grandes universités tchèques – Mme Václava Bakešová de l’Université Masaryk, Mme Radka Mudrochová de l’Université Charles et M. Jan Lazar de l’Université d’Ostrava. Les invités ont d’abord été accueillis, lors d’une rencontre informelle, par le doyen de la Faculté des Langues appliquées, M. Radoslav Štefančík. La partie scientifique de l’événement a ensuite été consacrée à des questions intéressantes liées au français et à son statut en République tchèque et/ou en Slovaquie. Certaines conférences ont abordé des sujets plus directement linguistiques, tels que la féminisation des noms des métiers en langue française ou la question de l’orthographe des emprunts lexicaux français aux langues étrangères. L’événement a également été soutenu par la présence de M. Patrick Maulon, attaché de coopération éducative, qui a souligné l’importance du français dans les sphères académique et professionnelle.
Lecturers from Czech universities - Assoc. Václava Bakešová from Masaryk University, doc. Radka Mudrochová from Charles University and doc. Jan Lazar from the University of Ostrava accepted the invitation. At the informal meeting the guests were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Languages, doc. Radoslav Štefančík. During the scientific part of the event, there were interesting presentations about French language and its position in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia. Some of the lectures were devoted to linguistic topics, such as the feminization of job titles in the French language, or the question of spelling in French language borrowings. The event was also supported by the presence of Mr Patrick Maulon, Attaché for Educational Cooperation, who stressed the importance of French in the academic and professional spheres.
L’Association FrancAvis et l’Institut Universitaire Franco-Slovaque ont soutenu financièrement la réalisation de l’événement, et l’Institut Français de Slovaquie a assuré sa promotion dans le cadre des activités organisées à l’occasion du Mois de la Francophonie.
The Association of University Teachers of French language FrancAvis and the Franco-Slovak University Institute provided a financial contribution for the event. The French Institute in Slovakia ensured its promotion within the framework of the activities organised on the occasion of the Francophonie Month.
