Within the Erasmus+ Teacher and Staff Mobility Programme, our colleague, Ivana Kapráliková, had the opportunity to participate in teaching and job-shadowing at Neapolis University in Paphos, Cyprus. This mobility took place in order to share experiences, enrich educational processes and establish international cooperation. During the stay, it was dedicated not only to teaching, but also to professional discussions and building international partnerships.

She taught persuasion skills and the basics of business negotiations in the Marketing class. The students, who consisted of both local-Cypriot and international (Italy, Germany, Slovakia), actively participated in model situations and practical demonstrations, which contributed to the development of their communication and negotiation skills. Emphasis was placed on linking theoretical knowledge with its practical application, thus creating an interactive and dynamic environment for the students.

Dr. Kapráliková also attended lectures on ‘Research Methods’ for 5th year students, where the process of producing a quality thesis is clarified and explained to the students. She also attended the job-shadowing sessions in the Leadership and Human Resource Management classes.

During the mobility, she also met with a number of teachers to discuss the possibilities of publishing collaborations and projects. As part of these discussions, she approached Professor Prodromou, to whom she proposed collaborating on faculty projects. The project aimed at identifying the need for soft skills for graduates of our university was thus extended to an international level, where the views of Cypriot companies will be included, bringing broader perspectives and comparative knowledge.

The Erasmus+ mobility at Neapolis University in Paphos was not only an exceptional professional development opportunity but also a platform to strengthen international partnerships. Thanks to these activities, the internationalisation in the field of education has been strengthened, which has a positive impact on students, teachers and future projects of both institutions. Mobility has demonstrated the value of mutual exchange of knowledge and experience, which contributes to the objectives of the Erasmus+ programme.
