EUBA joined European partners to advance next-generation learning in data and survey methodologies. The first face-to-face consortium meeting of the EU-funded SHERLOCK (Survey Higher Education Research – Learning through Online Collaboration & Knowledge) project took place on 14–15 November 2025 at the IAE of the University of Savoie Mont-Blanc (USMB) in Annecy. This two-day project meeting marked an important milestone in shaping the project’s direction and laying the foundation for an innovative approach to teaching survey methodology in higher education.

Funded under the Erasmus+ Programme – KA220-HED Cooperation Partnerships, SHERLOCK is a three-year initiative coordinated by IAE Savoie Mont-Blanc, with partners from TH Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences (Germany), HOWEST University of Applied Sciences (Belgium), HEG Geneva – HES-SO (Switzerland), CEU Cardenal Herrera University (Spain), and the Bratislava University of Economics and Business (EUBA) in Slovakia. The French company SPHINX participates as an associated partner, contributing specialised expertise in survey and analytics technologies.

SHERLOCK aims to modernise and enrich survey methodology education by integrating digital innovation, gamified learning, AI-supported tools, and interdisciplinary collaboration.  During the Annecy meeting, the consortium made significant progress in the development of the needs analysis and stakeholder study, the benchmarking of existing simulation and learning games, the formulation of the SHERLOCK methodological framework, and the preliminary design specifications for the serious game platform. The partners also launched the project website https://sherlockgame.eu/ and associated social media channels under #sherlockgame4U.

The Slovak team from EUBA includes Ildikó Némethová, Eva Stradiotová, Radoslav Štefančík, Jana Kuchárová, and Ingrid Kunovská, who contribute to the project’s core work packages. Financial and administrative coordination is ensured by Denisa Běčáková and Viera Vančíková, whose expertise supports the smooth operational and financial management of the project.
